One of the questions asked at consultations is how often does my make up need a top up or refresh and what is the cost.
It is not possible to put a date to how long permanent makeup it will last, the factors of genetics, lifestyle, health, smoking, sun etc determine that. What I do recommend is to have a colour boost every 12-18 months. It’s like going to the hairdressers to refresh your hair colour or highlights. It gives it that extra boost of colour and enhanced look. The difference is a brow, lip or eyeliner boost is every 12 months plus not 8 weeks unlike hair. So a win win there.
The bonus of attending a yearly colour boost for the permanent cosmetic makeup is it keeps it looking good and in condition. Normally if the client has followed all aftercare on how to look after the enhancement a single top up appointment is enough. That means a favourable top up price of £225-£275.
It is important to know that with any permanent makeup procedure if not maintained or the colour fades dramatically then the top up becomes a start over with a two appointment procedure again. We all have busy lives, and unplanned events sometimes prevent us from getting things completed dead on the dot so Tracy encourages the yearly top up to be booked a year in advanced in the diary so not to incur the full price again.
