IMPORTANT Pre-Procedure Advice

Permanent Cosmetics, Skin Injectables & Skin Treatments

Please read and sign to confirm you have read and understood the requirements prior for your treatment at Tracy Fensome Clinics

ALL VACCINATIONS

Covid-19 vaccinations: Please book your appointment two weeks before or after your planned Covid vaccination date. All treatments will not be performed if this is not adhered to and a further deposit may be required to secure your booking.  This is to protect you from any side affects you may have and to allow your body to adjust.

Other vaccinations: Please do advise if you have any planned vaccinations i.e. flu, pneumonia, Hep B, abroad vaccinations etc. We do advise you plan your treatment two weeks around these.  

PERMANENT COSMETICS

The success of your treatment is subject to many factors including skin type, health, medication, lifestyle, and the sun to name a few.  All pre- and post-advice must be followed unless you are advised differently.

Permanent Cosmetic procedures could require a second session to perfect and enhance the treatment area once it has healed. The second session is complimentary and not always necessary.  As part of your care plan please do return for a review so that Tracy can assess if any areas need the final perfecting even if you think it looks amazing and not needed.

INJECTABLES AND SKIN TREATMENTS

At consultation any pre and post advice will be provided to ensure that the treatment area is pre prepared for the treatment and that after advice is followed for safe healing and results.

FOR PERMANENT COSMETICS

• If you use products with AHA's, fruity acids, Vitamin C, Retinol A, Glycolic please advise immediately and stop using those products for at least one month prior to your treatment. We cannot guarantee your enhancement will retain pigment colour in the skin if you continue to use these products. ie Boots, Perfect range contains AHA's and many other brands. Ask your brand supplier if they do.
• Fish oils ie omega, skin collagen vitamins, Vit A, Evening Primrose can affect the colour retention of the colour pigment implanted. Unless prescribed by your medical health care person please do refrain for a minimum of 3 weeks before treatment.
• If you wear contact lens, please do not wear on the day or remove prior to treatment and bring spectacles.
• No deep skin peels for at least 3 months prior to treatment. Light -medium skin peels 6 weeks. No microdermabrasion for 4 weeks prior or post to treatment. No home exfoliation 3 days prior to your treatment unless your cosmetic practitioner advises differently.
• We recommend if you have Botox or fillers that you allow 4 weeks either side of a permanent makeup treatment.
• Do not take aspirin, Ibuprofen, diclofenac, naproxen or coumadin for minimum of 3 days before and 2 days after the procedure. These can cause bruising and bleeding. If you are prescribed these by your health care person, please discuss the outcome of stopping leading up to your appointment.
• Do not discontinue any medication before consulting your doctor.
• Do not drink alcohol the night before your treatment. This can affect the pigment retention in skin.
• Do not drink caffeine coffee, tea or fizzy drinks prior to your treatment. At least 5 hours. Caffeine will affect pigment retention and many cases cause bleeding which may require the treatment to be stopped.
• Please leave exercise at least 5 hours before treatment. We recommend no exercise causing perspiration and blood acceleration for a week after. This will cause the pigment implanted to blur and, in some cases, migrate. No cold or hot weather walks the day of the treatment
• A patch test will be performed unless waived upon request on the day.
• Do not tan with sun, sun beds or fake products for at least 4 weeks before and post treatments. We cannot work on tanned skin if it has been subjected to the sun, sun beds or tanning agents. Even gardening with a flush of sun will affect the success of the treatment. If you arrive with skin that has been subjected to sun in any way in the last month your appointment will not be performed, and your deposit will not be refunded. A new scheduled appointment will be offered at a time when the skin has not been subjected to any of the above mentioned and a further deposit will be required.
• We recommend a minimum spf30 factor cream be used at least 3 weeks leading up to your appointment (in fact every day even in Winter is recommended to protect skin from ageing, being weathered and hot and cold burn)
• Important please ensure that you are fully hydrated with water. If not, this can affect the results particularly with fillers. Fillers need hydration.

INJECTABLES & SKIN TREATMENTS

• Do not drink alcohol the night before your treatment. This can affect the pigment retention in skin.

• Botox will only be performed 3 months post last treatment and only if the anatomy is demonstrating areas that obviously require a refresh. Treatment will only be performed if a virtual or face to face consultation has taken place. Please book this in.
• Fillers will only be performed if a virtual or face to face consultation has taken place. Please book this in.
• Important please ensure that you are fully hydrated with water. If not, this can affect the results particularly with fillers. Fillers need hydration.
